East Sussex Volunteer Coordinators’ Networking Forum – Newhaven, 29th March 2017

Wednesday 29th March at the Hillcrest Centre in Newhaven

East Sussex Volunteer Coordinators’ Networking Forum 10am -12.30 pm

 ‘Strengthening volunteering & community involvement’

During this Forum, we’ll explore what community involvement means and how patterns of volunteering are changing and how organisations can identify new ways of involving volunteers.

The Volunteer Coordinator Networking Forums are run locally and open to anyone who has responsibility for involving and engaging volunteers anywhere in East Sussex. The Forums are designed as informal meetings that allow anyone involving or engaging volunteers the opportunity to learn and talk more about specific volunteering topics and by coming along to this Forum you can:

  • Meet with other people working with volunteers throughout East Sussex
  • Get up to date information about volunteer management training, funding and other volunteering initiatives in your area.
  • Discover the latest news from the national volunteering sector and how it affects your organisation.

Please note this Forum will be followed by a free lunch between 12.20-1.30 pm.

This Forum will be facilitated by Lee Shepherd, Volunteer Centre East Sussex’s, Volunteering Development Coordinator and 3VA’s Community Development Officer for the Lewes District. Lee is a qualified trainer with over twenty-five years’ experience of supporting voluntary organisations & community groups, including directly managing volunteers and supporting groups to involve and engage with volunteers.

Although each Forum has a focused topic, there are no formal agendas or minutes and no need to send apologies. It doesn’t matter if you have worked, or volunteered in the voluntary and community sectors for five minutes, or for five years and more…everyone has something to offer and you will be very welcome.

You can attend the Forum completely free, but there is limited space in the Centre and demand for places is usually high, so to be sure of your place, please book early.

Pre-booking is essential, but easy! To secure your place at either, or both Forums, please contact Lee on 07535 992 638 or email lee.shepherd@vces.org.uk

Alternatively, you can also book online via 3VA’s website here: https://www.3va.org.uk/civicrm/event/info?reset=1&id=204
