Volunteer recruitment…and retirement!

At least one very large national volunteer involving organisation has recently expressed concern by questioning if increases in the retirement age maybe having a detrimental effect on their ability to recruit older volunteers. Do you think this is true and what is the picture like locally? In a county where there may well be some assumptions made about the numbers of older volunteers, this Forum will be inviting participants to consider if this is an issue that is making it more difficult to attract volunteers and if so, what can we do about it?
